Belfast-born and bred, but now London-based duo Bicep released their latest single, titled Water last month. The single is the first brand new release since their 2021 album Isles and features glorious vocals from a now-regular collaborator, Clara La San. In June, they released Meli (ii), a rework of Meli (i) from Isles.

Before its release on Ninja Tune, Water was showcased by the duo during this summer’s festival season, including at their sets for Creamfields and Glastonbury. The tracks title was chosen after the latter, BBC producer for Glastonbury John Kerridge posted a tweet of the setlist which included the now-released single, which led fans online to unofficially name it Water; but it was actually one of the synth patches used within the production process.

Alongside the new single, they also released a B-side called Waterfall, an earlier, more instrumental version of Water. The two-track release has become a welcomed addition to the duo’s consistently strong set lists whilst they embark on their Europe and Australia tour.

Having started in Stockholm, Sweden mid-October, the pair have been putting on jaw-dropping performances all over Europe, with Poland, Italy and Switzerland up next. Their return back to London is highly anticipated, the pair effortlessly sold out two headline shows at the iconic Alexandra Palace.
